“Where do we eat?” We take the same and start again ! Except this time it was a little different. You know the reconciliation dinner or lunch following a big marriage crisis? I had come out my best gloss to go kill the conflict in the bud and make me forgive an affront.
Appointment was given at Le Coq Noir 92 Boulevard Victor Hugo, 92110 Clichy for a lunch with Mymou.
Le Coq Noir is a Cameroonian restaurant I have known for a long time, having already tested their stuffed crab. Whenever I went, it was evening. This time, we wanted to test their lunch formula, less expensive than the evening.
The setting of the restaurant Le Coq Noir
The restaurant Le Coq Noir is well maintained. We settled in the entrance hall, brighter than the inner hall. The decor of the entrance hall is rather simple. It lacks a few green plants to give more pep.
The indoor room is much larger and more chic, ideal for dinners.
Warning: In my memory, the evening there was live music and the sound system was not terrible. I have not re-tested since to be able to speak about it here.
The menu and the service of the restaurant Le Coq Noir
The lunch service is quite fast and our waiter was polite and courteous.
The lunch menu is quite simple and consists of 3 starters and 3 courses. The formula of noon starter / main course or main course / dessert is at 20 euros and the restaurant accepts the Ticket Restaurant card.
As a starter, we chose spicy gizzards accompanied by green salad. A pleasure for those who know how to appreciate this place.
In the main course, we chose braised farm chicken with rice and fried plantain. All this accompanied by a glass of bissap: Delicious! Desserts are offered on the map but, we made the impasse, reputed that we were.
Good experience overall that day (it must be said that there was no affluence) and really satisfied with the speed of service and flavor of the dishes. A good braised chicken spiced by a Cameroonian woman is always a good idea!
Will I come back? Yes, for lunch service.
Do I recommend? Yes, for lunch service.
